Brisket stew
You need:
Stew beef( I used Beef Brisket) I also remove any access fat on the meat leaving very little fat.
Olive oil
Black pepper
Onion
Robot peppers
Baby potatoes
Carrots
Sweet basil
Stock cube ( beef with curry)
Spices ( I used bit of Cajun and steak seasoning) replaces salt with these but u may add sometime u like.
Garlic
Tomato paste
Thickener/ soup I used gravy powder
Method:
Season the meat with all spices and herbs and garlic rest in fridge for 30min while preparing and chopping other veggies( make carrots thick so they remain intact even after being cooked for long).
Heat oil, seal the meat until it’s well browned , add a bit of water when it starts frying add the vegetable ( ones that take longer to cook (carrots, whole baby potatoes), add onion and peppers and carrots stir,add tomato paste add 2 cups of hot water (you may add the stock cube in the water) and simmer at low heat stirring occasionally to ensure it doesn’t stick or burn) ,when meat is starting to be tender add a bit of gravy powder to thicken and simmer at low heat...
you may remove any access oil before serving.
