This gem discovered me in Powells Book store last week when I was visiting Portland, OR. Upon following a few signs from the universe, including a playing card found near the Truckee river in Reno Nevada, I decided I would carry this book back to my home in Utah and begin interpreting its pages. To my surprise it is highly readable and honestly has some serious insight that is still highly relevant.

This is the card I found near the Truckee river 2 days prior to seeing this book in Powell's. Notice how the book's decorative border appears to be interweaving of the letter "Q". There are also other similarities in the general design of the card and the book. To me this was a fairly distinct sign. Whom or what this sign is from, I have no idea, but I followed because I love the idea of renouncing control and surrendering to the flow.
The first principle I gathered from the yellowing pages spoke of the tides of value change. Below I have paraphrased what I gathered. Quoted from my notebook.
"To those pursuing business. Fix before you some pure and lofty aim. Build a notion of what you seek, something viable and worthy. Monetary accumulation need not be a primary pursuit here, for the dollar is a subordinate means to a greater end, and we must not mistake this means for the end. Wealth must be kept moving, changing forms, places, and hands. It must find new channels in which to flow, new markets to supply and create new demands where no demands exist."

To me this seemed pretty relevant to the cryptocurrency craze that is happening right now. Are we all trying to accumulate dollars or is there a greater end in sight that we seek as a community?
