What is Willpower ?


According to author Willpower is competition between the two parts of our brain, One part wants to make new changes and another one wants to just stay comfortable .
Example we get started to wake up early and do exercise , but after some days our brain starts to make some excuses and we abort doing these important things.

How to develop and increase willpower.


There are five rules which helps us to increase our willpower.

1) Train your willpower physiology

There are 4 ways to train your willpower physiology.
1. Enough Sleep - Studies says due to less sleep some parts of our brain shows less activity, hence atleast 6 hour good sleep is must.
2.Meditation - 10 minutes of Meditation leads to increase willpower, it makes strong connectivity between neurological pathways and makes denser Pre Frontal Cortex. P Frontal cortex is that part of our brain which handles our (a) Decisions , (b)Core values and (c) Long term goals
10 Minutes meditation daily improves our sleep patters.
3. Exercise - It helps to release such hormones that helps to make different part of our brain more bigger and better connected.
4. Healthy Diet -its very necessary to take healthy diet if you want to make your brain a energy efficient machine. Its very helpful to take green leafy vegetable.

2) I want you to Recall your recent Failure


What do you think ? Feeling regret about your failure will help you to motivate you to develop willpower ?
or it will vanish you willpower ?
You may think that feeling regret about your failure may help you to motivate you next time but it's wrong !!.
according to some researches Forgiving yourself is very useful for improve your willpower.
Example - in Gambling, if anyone lose money, He'll Feel regret , that feeling make him to get that money back and that leads him to lose more and more.

There are few steps to help you out.

1.Notice that you are feeling guilty.
2.Identify as a common human nature. 3. Encourage your self over critisism

3) GET TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR FUTURESELF


Write a letter from your future one to your present one.
what you are doing in your present will affect your future, Write a positive thank you letter to your self.
it can be a good enough source of willpower to write such thank you letter from yourself to yourself frequently.

4) Imagine your Failure


Be a detective of your own failure. It helps you to imagine your success it is very useful to image your failure aspects.

Make some small milestones , do simple small tasks instead of going for extreme.
small tasks are easy to do that gives you pleasure of accomplishment and willpower.

5) SURF THE URGE


Just observe your urges, observe the different steps of your habbits.
you won't feel stressful.
accept your emotions. notice your feelings.

These powerful habbits had changed me , helped me to get rid of procrastination.
