POST #2 Living in the Edge - Celebrating Christmas on Jan 5 the Ethiopian way
Today it is January 5 in the Gregorian calendar and December 27 in the unique #Ethiopian calendar or e.c for short. So this means its been 10 dads since #Christmas was celebrated in western countries but here in #Ethiopia Christmas will be celebrated after two days on Jan 7 or Dec 29 in the e.c. Since the owners of the place where i work are from #USA we decided to celebrate Christmas on Jan 5 incorporating both the western and the #Ethiopian ways. Yea i know celebrating Christmas on Jan 5 is very weird but possible here in my work place :) .
Right now the celebration parties are still going on. we decorated the Christmas tree in the morning only with office supplies and stuffs which our boss bring from her house and the Christmas tree becomes super cool and delighting to see.
What is more delighting than anything about Christmas is if you are in #Ethiopia you will got the chance to celebrate it twice both the #Ethiopian and the Western way. Though the #Ethiopian way includes super spicy cousin and some cool drinks you will really enjoy the celebration by eating the famous #Ethiopian dish the "DORO WOT" or chicken stew.
