Do you Believe in Destiny?

in #life7 years ago

The definition of Destiny according to the Dictionary: "the events that will necessarily happen to a particular person or thing in the future".

In the bible, there are many passages related to Destiny; Psalms 138:8 "The Lord will fulfil his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands."

For those who follow "Life"principles, Destiny may not be a true thing, as you are able to write your own future, according to the decision you make every day.

As a teacher, I usually bring up this topic to my grade 10, in the hope they can build a thoughtful argument to their own lives.
In my opinion, more important than believe of disbelieve in Destiny, it is to believe that your action today are what builds their CHARACTERS.

I could spend 1 day talking about a lot of events in my life that makes me to believe we do have our destiny in our hands, even though we are not able to fully understand what we want to achieve in life. Then, it is where the control of my destiny is no longer in my hands, but in the hands who designed me for a bigger purpose.

1- When you decide to move overseas "forever"
2- When you choose to work on what gives you passion, instead of just a normal boring job that will give you money.
3- When you get married
4- When you raise a child

Surely you can control such things, but you cannot control the outcome of these decisions.
