The ultimate Roadtrip!
Heran bought his Volkswagen Syncro van in 2007 and drove it around for about six years without having to worry about any further maintenance. When even Heran couldn't deny his van was falling apart, he decided to invest a few weeks of hard work to restore it to its full glory.
The VW Syncro has undergone a stunning metamorphosis and it is almost a completely rebuilt with other and new components.
120 hp engine and Heimplanet rooftent
Heran replaced the original engine of the VW Syncro by a modern TDI engine which is good for +/-120 hp. In addition the panels of the doors, sides and roof were all replaced. Obviously a van is not the most comfortable place to sleep but Heran has also thought of a solution to tackle this problem.
He managed to build an inflatable Heimplanet tent on the rails of the roof. After all he still is a mountain biker thus he even built a giant mobile ramp which can be attached to the van!
The interior is completely renovated and equipped with LED lights ,new tools and chargers. The van is also equipped with a mobile solar panel of 100 Watts in order to be able to remain somewhat independent. In order to be able to sit comfortably during long trips or off road adventures, Recaro seats are added to the interior.
The amazing adventures of Heran be followed on his blog 'The Syncronicles' .
