RETURNING EMPTY HANDED
As humans which are regarded as higher and advanced mammals, life itself starts from the day we were born into this World, and from that very moment, the journey begins.
Some people are really fortunate enough to be born into wealthy homes, some into average homes, while others are born into poor homes.
Though a lot of people, if given the right to choose, will rather prefer to be born in a wealthy home instead of a poor one, and of a truth being born into a rich home does has its enormous advantage due to financial security for a child, but the beauty of it all is, whichever of the three aforementioned types of home a person is born, does not define such an individual.
There are lots of situation where an individual from a very poor home, turns around to become the richest or one of the richest in a particular community, and even in the world today most of the top richest individuals even emanated from very poor homes.
As an individual, having acquired wealth, either by working hard or by inheritance, now the question goes, "how much impact have u created in the lives of others as well as the poor and needy?.
It hurts me a lot when I see some people who are rich and find it really difficult to give out to the poor. Now let me tell you a very brief story.
A certain rich old man, gave an instruction before he died, he said that when he dies, he would like a special casket constructed in a way that his hands will be outside of the casket, before being buried into mother earth, and when he was asked his reason for this, he said "I want to show to the world that, empty handed I came, and empty handed I go". These words struck me.
When a person dies, he/she is mostly remembered for the lives they have touched, impacted and also for the people they have helped in various ways. According to the rich man, we come into this world empty, and empty handed we leave this earth, so love truly, give a helping hand when needed, show compassion when necessary, share with those in need because all these are what we will be remembered for when our time is up here in this world.
