Saying NO to Big Pharma
Six months ago I left a job of 9 years for a move up the ladder and a move from a rural community to a big city. Two months later I started having serious health issues. The stress of traffic every day, the stress of the job which I do love - it's just a lot of pressure the way a leadership role is, and the stress of having my oldest son go off to college caught up with me. I ended up in the hospital at 10am on a Friday morning with blood pressure that was sky high.

The doctors discharged me with Lisinopril. I took it for 6 weeks then it tried to kill me.

Did you know that drugs ending in "pril" are ticking time bombs for 40% of the population? You can feel fine as I did one morning going into work. From the time it took me to drop something off on the 1st floor and go to my office, I went from feeling great to having HIVES and my tongue was swelling.

Thirty minutes later I was at the hospital again, unable to speak, tears streaming down my face, and waiting for a doctor to OK the Epi-Pen, steroids, Benedryl, and IVs.

I was lucky - went home four hours later. Never to take another blood pressure pill.

Luckily a friend of mine is very knowledgeable about Essential Oils.

This morning my 4 year old woke up crying, congested, couldn't breathe. I put a little olive oil and about 7 drops of R.C. (Respiratory Support Oils) and rubbed his chest - a little by his nose and within minutes he was fine. What I LOVE is that there is nothing in that cabinet that could hurt him. If he got onto a stool and got into something it won't kill him.

I have been able to replace pain meds and blood pressure meds naturally.

You do have to be careful! Many of the oils sold at health food stores, Wal-Mart, or other big stores only have to have 5% of the oil to be considered Therapeutic. They substitute or dilute with alcohol, Jojoba oil, coconut oil, or other substances.

Sort:

I dont agree too much on that oils can replace everything, but the 'if it doesnt kill you' i think is in place for this.

But yeah the pills. For sure there are so many more ways to descend your bloodpressure, nothing medically there indeed.

Are you happy where you live now? Otherwise Id say, get out of there while you can hahaha. Bloodpressure is no joke there!

You know when I first moved to the big city I found a house in a newer gated community - big stucco - not a home. It echoed inside and was way too much.

I broke the lease - continue to pay that fee off - but moved into a smaller house in an older neighborhood and my one kiddo left at home is much happier. He can go out the front or back yard and PLAY. Before - at the stucco house the front was a driveway and the backyard tiny.

Its all about priorities I guess..

I had a perfect job and a nice 4 bedroom house in Holland, but I wanted easier life so I moved to a tiny island.

And what you say... sometimes having the thing is way too much, you just need to own what you actively use. So if you and the 1 kiddo have enough space, perfect.

(To me to be honest, gated community, noooooooo, that like being locked up in your own house)

I was thinking safety with the gated community but it really was a pain in the butt. 120 houses is a small space with tight streets and houses all right next to the other... I could never let my little one out because of the traffic and no real yard. That house was 2000 sq ft. we moved to 1450 - perfect

Less cleaning is one thing already hahaha.!
I think outdoor space is priceless, alsoith privacy
