The importance of knowing you direction

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Lately, I have been getting a lot of questions affiliated to this vital topic so I decided to discuss it a little bit today.

Do you find that you:

  • Don't know what you want?
  • But just know that there's something missing?
  • Don't know what fulfills you anymore?
  • Really want to make a breakthrough... but don't know what to focus on?

You're definitely not alone!

Locating the answer to this question is a ceaseless journey rather than a one-off exercise. It can be embarked from many different angles.

For instance, your comfort zone

  • It's subconscious and invisible, but its a cage.
  • It locks down your self-identity and prevents you from growing.
  • It limits your perspective of what's possible.
  • When you're glued inside it, you can't see what's outside.

or you, it may be that the thing you're looking for is actually laying somewhere outside of this cage. Your mind may have been concealing it from you this whole time. For others, it might be that this "direction" seems like a delusion because of the enormous pressures or limitations that we have in our life that makes it seem impossible to even fathom it. Just considering it as a possibility is a depressing thought.

Nevertheless, if you disre to make any sort of improvement or growth in your life, knowing your direction is absolutely vital. Don't bury it away, because it's the flame that gives your life real meaning.

The greatest life hack is to be able to know what you want and adjust all your actions towards it. In other aspects, you're actions are just scattershot - irregularly wasted bits of effort and time. With a direction, you can start to figure out how you'll get there. It doesn't have to be all in one go. As long as your actions are arranged, you'll be making progress no matter if it's big or small. And that part is much easier. All you need to do is follow the methods and procedure and tips that I've been sharing. How to breakdown tasks. How to make a system for yourself to push you forward. How to make effective use of your time. Lots of ways!

In conclusion, look at it from the other side of the coin - these types of mindsets are major obstacles that stop you from recognizing and walking your ideal path.

Thanks a lot for the feed back.

@tpot Yes, setting direction is perhaps the first and most important thing to have considered before we embark on any project or start Steemit.
