Today In History: We As Ugandans We're Celebrating 56 Years Of Independence

in #life6 years ago

Uganda is one of the countries that were under the powers of the British colonialists from the 19th century to October,9,1962.

This day is marked as the day when Uganda was administratively fully handed over to Ugandans from the British colonialists. The then black Prime Minister became the first president of the republic of Uganda and this was Sir Edward Muteesa 1, who also doubled as the King of the Buganda Kingdom.
