Meet Abby Our Lil Hell Hound
Its nearly 11pm on a Sunday, and I have work in the morning. I'd typically be laying in bed, watching something on Netflix by now, but not tonight. Today me and my wife took a big step in our relationship and adopted our first puppy! We have had dogs in the past, but they were all grown when we got them.
This is Abby! She is a five week old German Shepard, and she is a wild pup. Luckily she is sleeping a lot at the moment, but when she's awake she is chewing on everything, clothes, pillows, bed sheets, fingers, face, toes, it doesn't matter, if its soft she will chew it, and her teeth may be tiny, but they hurt like hell. I feel sorry for our older dog, Teddy, he is 11 and very gentle, but she has chased him all over the house and he is wore out.
She is sleeping right now, and she must be having a doozy of a dream, cause her lil snout and paws are moving a hundred miles an hour. She has been a handful today, but she's so darn cute! I do hope she takes it easy on Teddy tomorrow while we're at work. She's waking up, so I better hide my tablet, before she gets her teeth on it.
Awe. Abby is the most adorable puppy ever! Yes, those needle teeth will get you. Stay vigilant guys and god bless.
Thank you! She is cute, but vicious. I'm hoping training a pup is easier than breaking an older dogs bad habits.
It’ll take a lot of work to train her but once you do, she’ll be the coolest dog. My husband and I love German Shepard’s and they are a handful but so incredibly smart. So smart that you guys might look at her, one day, waiting for her to start talking back to you like the rest of your family members.
Yea, we have both had German Shepard's in the past, and loved them. She already knows her name and it hasn't even been 8 hours yet, so she is catching on great. We're both patient with dogs, and know it'll be worth the effort in the end.
