The positivity challenge: Day 4, Look deep insde
"A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events and outcomes. It is a catalyst and it sparks extraordinary results."
-Wade Boggs
Today I am thankful for the realisation of the 'error of my ways'. I honestly feel that the first step towards self improvementis that we stop looking outwards and blaming the world for our miseries. We should look inwards, have a talk with ourselves, try to understand what seems to be the underlying issue that is causing the ache. It's true that people can hurt us at times but there is nothing we can do to stop them, but we can work on ourselves because ultimately all that hatred, anger, sadness is only affecting us and nobody else.
Keeping all of this in mind, and my recurring bouts of depression I decided to face my demons, I decided to confront my fears and my weaknesses. Accepting your own mistakes and shortcomings is generally the first step towards betterment. If you live in the denial that nothing is wrong and you know best then that 'void' you feel will never vanish.
So look deep inside, spend some time with just yourself and get to know yourself. Accept the truth to its fullness and then instead of breaking down or dwelling on all the things that you are doing wrong, start working on yourself. Keep a positive outlook, give love to yourself, tell yourself that "it is okay!" and that "you can do this!" Keep telling yourself this till you start believing in these words. Take full control of your life and start shaping it the way you want it to. Sure, there will be challenges and obstacles but at least it will be your own journey. Believe me you will feel liberated.
Have faith, meditate, work great and knock it outta the gate!
