The Riverside, peaceful, tranquil in parts, powerful and loud in sections.... sitting under the willow tree watching the university students train on the water, single, double, trebles and more rowing boats passing by.

Walking back from the Racecourse area along the River Wear we take a shortcut through nature into the South Bailey area of the city where a well needed coffee was purchased and a break after the 8k walk.
