The Riverside, peaceful, tranquil in parts, powerful and loud in sections.... sitting under the willow tree watching the university students train on the water, single, double, trebles and more rowing boats passing by.
Walking in the Shadows of Durham’s mighty Cathedral we head along the path passing the very beautiful Fulling Mill.
We even have time for the wife to climb, she loves larking around.... proper poser 😂😂
Walking past and under Pre Bends bridge the leaf free trees allow the needed sunlight to warm up the ground, growing season is here...
Flat water along this walk with many boats and many cyclists shouting instructions to the training students
Walking back from the Racecourse area along the River Wear we take a shortcut through nature into the South Bailey area of the city where a well needed coffee was purchased and a break after the 8k walk.
Visit Durham, beautiful even when heading out of winter into spring
