CDC Scientist Admits they Destroyed Data that Showed Vaccines Caused Autism in Children

It is no question that the subject of vaccines is profoundly controversial. On both sides of the argument exist truths and lies that can hinder the ability of some to make rational decisions.

While we have everyone from attorneys to biologists, to political scientists who write for the Free Thought Project, none of us are doctors, so we do not make recommendations about what you and your family should do in regards to vaccination. That being said, when we see critical information about vaccines being kept from the public, we will expose it every single time.

As we reported at the time, activists rallied at the headquarters of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia. Their mission was clearly stated, "Truth, Transparency, and Freedom."

The event called for “concerned individuals from all across the nation” to gather outside the CDC Headquarters and “demand truth, transparency and freedom-to-choose which medical procedures are right for themselves and their families.” The event states that the demonstration will be aimed at exposing “the corruption within the CDC’s vaccine division,” according to a report by Derrick Broze.

The organizers of the event were focusing on the lack of coverage given to the bombshell admission by a Senior Research Scientist within the CDC, Dr. William Thompson.

During 2014, Dr. Thompson had multiple discussions with a man named Dr. Brian Hooker "regarding vaccines and neurodevelopmental outcomes including autism spectrum disorders."

Thompson was completely unaware that he was being recorded by Hooker during these conversations that subsequently led to a CDC cover-up being exposed.

On August 27, 2014, only after he was exposed, Dr. Thompson confessed to literally "trashing" evidence that linked vaccines to autism.

The statement read in part:

I regret that my coauthors and I omitted statistically significant information in our 2004 article published in the journal Pediatrics. The omitted data suggested that African American males who received the MMR vaccine before age 36 months were at increased risk for autism. Decisions were made regarding which findings to report after the data were collected, and I believe that the final study protocol was not followed.

Congressman Posey recently brought this information to the House floor and revealed that not only did the CDC hide the findings, but they destroyed the evidence.

Quoting from Thompson,

“The authors of the study decided not to disclose to the public that African American boys under two were more susceptible to developing autism or autism-like symptoms from the MMR vaccine.

“The remaining four coauthors all met and brought a big garbage can into the meeting room and reviewed and went through all the hard copy documents that we thought we should discard and put them in a huge garbage can. However because I thought it was illegal and would violate La Jolla and DOJ requests, I kept hard copies in my office and retained all associated computer files. I believe that we intentionally withheld controversial findings from the final draft of the pediatrics paper.”

So in case you missed it there, Thompson, a CDC scientist and an author of the study in the journal Pediatrics that insisted that there was no link between vaccines and autism, admits that he and the other authors of that study left out information that was deemed controversial—information that in some African American male children, who are given the MMR vaccine before the age of two, did have an increased risk of autism and signs of autism.

And that not only did the CDC hide that information, but that the authors of the study threw that evidence into a trash can and destroyed it.
No matter what you believe in regards to vaccines, the idea of government scientists destroying evidence about vaccines injuring children is bone chilling.
