That's a crazy story. I buy my gear from Banggood and have been flying for about a year. I've been cut up a couple of times from random accidents, but nothing as bad as that. Hang in there and keep it outdoors. If you haven't checked out FPV, you definitely should. It's a real adrenilin rush.
