1st in Hell or 2nd in Heaven?

Yesterday's Question of the Day on the Immigration and family separation issue seemed to be mostly answered with sympathetic leanings in favor of keeping immigrant families together while their immigration status is deliberated. Most comments seemed to consider the health of the children and the irreparable harm done when the children are kept from their parents and families.

Obviously there are no easy answers or solutions. In a perfect world one could say obey the laws, file proper paper work, wait your turn, and do everything the legal way, but alas this has been and still is quite an imperfect world. Yesterday's abuses and atrocities are todays daily societal problems. Such conditions has led to a humanitarian crisis throughout the world leading to the current immigration/refugee situation happening in many parts of the world.

During the comments in yesterday's QOD, one of the users stated that "there is a (political) side that wants open borders and to allow people to come here illegally and to be second class citizens and be subject to all the dehumanization that entails." Although I do not agree that there is a political agenda to make anyone a second class citizen or to purposely dehumanize people, I do agree that immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers will definitely endure more hardships than the average citizen including crime and abuse. This led me to come up with Today's Question of the Day.

Blue is 1st World, Red is 2nd World, and Green is 3rd World Countries

QOD

If you had a choice, would you rather live as a 1st Class Citizen in a 3rd World Country the likes of Venezuela, Nicaragua and Iraq or would you rather live as a 2nd class citizen in a country like the United States, Germany or Sweden and why or why not?

I rather be grateful for what I have because back home in the 3rd world country that I came from, I had nothing . Now I live in NYC

Lifestyle of one nation is different. Again many times people have to change it despite reluctance.

As colombian i would like to live as second class in USA because our country it's full of corruption and the oportunity to go to USA and create a good life and after comeback to my origin country it's something very
wanted because you in a country as USA can live 5 years and earn good money and go in this case to colombia and create your own bussines with that money and live very well and giving job to people there. Regards

Its better to live where we born, no matter what class we belongs!

As said in the Post my Country is a Third World Country and to be Honest the Living status of the Top Tier of People is pretty Good if you compare with to First world Countries plus there is an Added Benefit of Low Costs. For One USD you can have a Full Meal in India while I don't think 1 USD offers much in First World Countries. So I would like to be 1st Class in Third world COuntry than a 2nd Class in a First World Country.

Ofcourse this is my Personal Preference and many may Beg to Differ.

Thanks @arunava for the input.... my point so far is being made as I will make more clear later. Thanks again.

It's a very good question, my friend and personally, I would prefer to live in my homeland, even if my country was a country of the third world! Thank you @streetstyle

Life is a gift, so make the most of it. Time is not currency. Use it wisely. You can have all the fun you want - and it is usually more fun after you figure out what you want. For that, too, you have enough time.

Of course, in the 1st country of the country. For all citizens of such a country there is an opportunity to achieve their goals in life. In the country of the third class there are almost no such opportunities, if only to emigrate to the 1 st class camp.

I think a man creates for himself such a life as he likes. If he has a purposeful character, great ambitions and dreams, he will achieve his in any country.

Your question is now very relevant for many people in the world @streetstyle and it seems to me that I would rather stay in my country and try my hand at home than I would if I were in a foreign country and would be a second-class person!
