RE: Anyone watch Disenchantment yet?
This show is great. Some of the jokes were haphazardly placed. Some were weirdly political and didn’t fit. But the characters are fun and greatly voice acted. The animation is familiar but new. There was a semblance of a story but each episode was more like Groening’s more recognized works where each episode was more or less a one shot even though part of the greater story. The main cast bounced off each other pretty well, especially between the cynical and never well meaning Lucy and the blissfully ignorant and lovable Elfo. Bean is the only one I really saw character development with episode to episode but always maintained a charm I don’t think I see too much in animation I can’t quite place but enjoy seeing. That’s my 2 cents on it. Only 10 episodes at around 30 min a piece and with the history the creator has there’s bound to be a character or gag an episode you’ll like.
I watched the first episode and it wasn't too bad actually a few good funny jokes and overall much better than modern day Simpsons and the last bit of futurama. I'm going to finish the rest of the season and see where it goes from there :P
