Image - Venture into full freedom!
No one deserves to carry that weight or have that privilege in their hands. No one and nothing, once we reach adulthood. Be it a person you love or a job you like. It is not only because your freedom is a privilege that should belong to you intrinsically (within the limits of the law, of course), but because if you give your liberty to someone or something, you are condemning it at the same time .
Maybe at first you can bear it, but sooner or later you will end up regretting it. This will probably cause your loved one's relationship to end or deteriorate, or it will make you stop feeling all that passion for the profession that once filled you.
Too many people try and please others, while undermining their own opportunities. Sometimes we over-reach for validation.
