BEST LIFE HACK YOU CAN LEARN.

in #life7 years ago

This life hack is so simple that everybody recognizes it at a subconscious level, but nobody actually takes advantage of it!

It is the fact that little things compound over time to produce massive game-changing results.

Let me explain.

In 2010, a man named Dave Brailsford was appointed as the performance director for Team Sky, Britain’s professional cycling team.

No British cyclist had ever won the Tour De France and Dave Brailsford was asked to change that. He came up with a simple but brilliant strategy that he believed would lead to a position in Tour De France in 5 years.

He decided to improve every area related to cycling by just 1%.

They started paying attention to the usual things like ergonomics of the bike, nutrition, training etc.

The coolest part is that they also focused on little things that nobody else bothers to look at. They hired a surgeon to teach their riders the best way to wash their hands, implemented the right massage procedures to boost recovery and even DISCOVERED THE BEST PILLOW FOR OPTIMUM SLEEP.

They won a gold in Tour De France in 3 years.

In the 2012 Olympic Games, British cycling outperformed all the competitors and won 70% of all gold medals.

If you can find a way to improve every area of your life by just 1% starting from today, you will have a totally different life in 1 year.

This is the exact opposite of what people do. They use motivational surges to outwork themselves and burn out before they see any progress.

I came across this life hack back in 2017 on James Clear and started implementing it in December 2017.

1.I started reading just 20 pages of a book everyday and built up from there.

2.I started doing calisthenics for just 15 minutes a day and reduced my calorie intake by just 500.

  1. I optimized my sleep by using the bed only for sleep and eliminated caffeine.

In just 2 months, I’ve read 9 books and around 100 articles, shed 10 pounds of fat and replaced some of it with lean muscle and improved my sleep quality dramatically.

Bottom line?

“Little things which seem inconsequential at the moment when repeated consistently can change your life.”
