Karkhanu markets is mainly located on GT road jamrud, about 05km in west direction way from university of Peshawar. A decade ago this was a well-known market for trade and industry in the northwest west province of Pakistan for cheap prices and imported good quality product however it could maintain its value because of bad law and order situation here. With passage of time a decrease observed in the huge number of peoples who were doing trade and visits here on daily bases.

Unfortunately it is been located on border area with tribal belt of FATA and flow of narcotic especially heroin, marijvana and ice through hide routs and veins which inter into the rest part of the country. This open atmosphere for illegal usage of drug has made a trend for the attraction of people to be involved in any way so it became a notorious place where they can bargain, exchange of drug. The most of people who are among the permanent or partially addicts of these drug come here and acquire it easily without any fear and law and order situation are completely paralyze to prohibit them from doing such illegal and hazardous action. The number of these drug addicts’ people are increasing day to day because of the lack of govt. interest in the narcotic to take necessary action against those peoples who are involved in such kind of inhumane action and to restore the victims’ life for the promotion of a harmony, peace and healthy society where we all could live with sound mind.

The relevant authorities i.e. anti-narcotic force and police are no more in the remedial position to resolve the issue. It is one of the critical issue because death causing drugs are injecting to humans for the sack of just few cents where the world is progressively developing the life standard and we are still part of vicious system.
