The little things? The little moments? They aren’t little

in #life5 years ago

This is actually a quote of Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of MBSR (mindfulness-based stress reduction). Every moment offers a something special, some wonders, opportunities and insights. It depends up to us how and what we focus our attention on, and how we perceive it. If we make ourselves to enjoy the journey, we can live a peaceful life.

There is also a popular saying you may heard of, "Stop and smell the roses.'' This is what actually life is. If you are running, rushing all through your life, at the end of the day you will see how stressed your are no matter how much money you achieved or how famous you are. If we can not enjoy the moments of our life, the life become meaningless.

What can be a small moment for some, can be the single most important moment in another persons life. So we should try to focus on that and if we really feel that way we can make any ones life better. Just giving an example. If you offer a meal to a homeless, it may not impact on your life, you may forget it after few days. But think about that person, may be it's the most precious day in his life! Who know? So what we are doing, a tiny little thing, we should enjoy that.

Making our mind open towards joy is the biggest achievement. We all can't do that actually. The world is full of fake smile. But by allowing ourselves to be curious, inquisitive, and have an open mind, we can make those small moments big. We should focus on enjoying our present and not rushing around. Life is short, it's true. But if we can not make time to enjoy, feel, get attached to the little beauty, moments, emotions there is actually nothing left to feel. So enjoy and be happy!
