Using your sexual energy wisely

If you guys are on the internet, at all, you may have heard of a movement called noFap.

Nofap is about storing your sexual energy and using it for the better. Basically, not using it to masturbate.

Now, I'm all for masturbation. I don't like sexual repression, especially when you are a teenager and your hormones go out of control. You are more prone to anger, and it is better to make sure that you can handle yourself, and masturbation is a tool people use to relieve stress.

However, some people masturbate 5 times a day. That is not exploring a healthy sexual habit. That is addiction.

If you are addicted to masturbation, nofap hard mode may be something you can consider. It's not easy. In fact, the first few times you will do it, you will quit. But, regardless if you quit or not, you will see the benefits during the time you didn't quit immediately. You will notice much more free flowing energy. You will not feel like shit, basically.

At the end of the day, sexual energy is a powerful form of energy. If we can harness it toward something else, sublimate it into creating art, or something more meaningful that an ejaculation, that is a win for us.

I'm on nofap, softmode, which means I can have sex, but I don't jerk off. It's been three weeks since I relapsed, and it's tough. But greatness did not happen following the pack, culturally.

Greatness is when you can look in someone's eyes, and say that you tried your best.

Although I think some people take nofap too seriously, I love the basic concept. Change something that is generally a waste of time into something productive.

In Pow Pow, James Murphy sings that we have alot of time, even if we say that we don't. It's about time we use it to make our lives better. Sexual release is good, and indeed necessary. But overdoing it is harmful, and detrimental to our mental health and overall well being.

Try it. Experiment with a journal, on days you jerk off as opposed to days you don't, and see how much more awake you feel. The difference is startling.

Good luck!
