Let's talk about the Koi fish
In the last trip made to the island of Margarita, this past December, we made a family tour in several mall of the island.
Among the shopping centers visited, was the Sambil, finding there an aquarium of KOI fish.
That is why I was curious to investigate a little in relation to these fish finding several interesting, curious aspects that serve as a general culture. Which I name below:
These fish come from the Asian continent, specifically from China, but then they were very popular in Japan.
The original name is Nishikigoi, which means "wavy carp".
They can live between 20 to 30 years, even it is said that there are specimens of up to 200 years.
They weigh between 8 to 10 Kg.
They can measure between 80 and 90 cm.
In Chinese culture, depending on the color of the fish, it will have a meaning, finding that those of blue color represent peace and those of red color, attract passion and love.
There is even a Chinese legend, where a Koi fish managed to overcome (by his perseverance, resistance and perseverance) a curse of demons and reached the top of a waterfall, for which the gods turned him into a Golden Dragon.
That is why it is one of the most tattooed symbols and symbolizes resistance, perseverance and as an attraction of good luck.
Greetings friends, I hope you liked it.
