RE: Must Read!! "5 ANIMALS THAT ARE GOING TO EXTINCT VERY TIME SOON"

in #life7 years ago

Nice post @hewrites
Life on earth is getting closer to massive extinction status, unlike in the era of dinasaurs. In the past 500 years, 844 species (such as tasmanian cat and passenger pigeon) have been extinct, and as many as 16,000 other species are endangered . As much as two-thirds of the total number of turtles worldwide is threatened with extinction by 2025, as many as 50% of the total ape population in Africa has died, and half the number of marsupilami in the world are in danger of extinction. As many as 40% of the total flora and fauna in Asia will also become extinct soon.

Conservationists argue that humans have an obligation to protect other species, realizing biodiversity is strongly reinforced by mankind, and knowing this diversity is a source of vital wealth: because humans depend on their ecosystems for eating, breathing, and other survival activities. Some of the causes of extinct species on Earth are as follows:

Loss of habitat
The main factor causing the extinction of animals on earth is the loss of habitat or residence. Various ecosystems both on land and in the sea are being destroyed for the sake of construction of buildings, roads and other developments.

Exploitation of Nature
Natural exploitation such as hunting, fishing and trade are other factors that cause extinction. Bison America is one of the hunted populations that on 30 years before the Europeans came and flourished, in 1890 there were only 750 tails alive.

Pollution
Pollution is also an important issue causing mass extinction. If not directly kill animals, pollution results in reproduction, disrupt the breeding process, and lead to unusual behavior.

@riandi thanks for such a thorough reply. We can't seem to understand that animals not only create balance on earth but also are essential to us in many ways rather than just a source of food or leather jackets, boots and bags....
