For the first time!..an introduction to the STEEMIT community

hello everyone. I'm Junel, a secondary public school teacher in the philippines. I got a mail from steemit this morning that my account has been approved. I couldn't believe my eyes as I waited for weeks. I did not think it took a long time waiting but it was worth the wait. I was overwhelmed by the message so I didn't know what to write or post.

Let me do my first post by introducing myself. As I mentioned above, I'm a public school teacher. I'vee been teaching for more than 3 years. Prior to my teaching career in public, I was an ESL (English as a Second Language) instructor for 5 years. I used to teach foreigners(such as Koreans, Japanese, Taiwanese, Russians) whose first language is not English. They came to the Philippines to enhance their english skills. I enjoyed my job then. The job was quite relaxed. I could read books, play guitar(or sleep) during vacant periods. I could hang out with students* after work or on weekends. You can leave your work once you get out of the workplace. All of these changed when I entered public school. Our job as a teacher is time demanding. I thought I couldn't survive but thanks to my colleagues I made it through.
