SIMALA GETAWAY WITH MY FAMILY
Good day steemians! Last Sunday we went to Simala together with my family.
Simala Church in Cebu rose to fame over the past few years. This monastery is known for its castle-like church, proudly standing on a hill in in Sibonga. It is located in the village of Lindogon, but because its usual access is via Simala, people eventually called it Simala Church. I visit this church often, as my uncle who is a priest usually celebrates mass here. I learned some interesting information about Simala Church from him that I am going to share to you in this Simala Church DIY Travel Guide with itinerary and budget.
We woke up 3 o'clock in the dawn, my mother cook for our foods and we prepare the other stuff to bring. Then we fixed ourselves to be ready in our destination.
At 4:30 am we ride a Jeep to parkmall, O1K jeep-South Bus terminal, and from south bus terminal -sibonga. And lastly we ride a tricycle to SIMALA CHURCH.
We arrived at 8:30 in the morning, and the line of simala was very long because the guard of the church need to check thee simala.
When we get inside we line up again because if you want to kiss the image of Blessed Mama Mary you need to fall in line and it was sacred.
While waiting, me and my one sister including my mother and father decided to took a pictures.
When we reach the last part of line we kiss the Blessed Virgin Mary Image and prayed.
After that we took a family picture's, ever since we don't have a family pictures, because my kuya was really KJ when taking some pictures. At last we have a family pictures.
After that we do the petition and light the candles to pray for our protection, healthy lifestyle, living and etc.
We decided to relax at park in SIMALA before eating lunch.
And at 4:30pm we attend mass at Consolacion and went home.
"Learn to enjoy every minute of your life. Be happy now. Don't wait for something outside of yourself to make you happy in the future. Think how really precious is the time you have to spend, whether it's at work or with your family. Every minute should be enjoyed and savored."
