DREAMS - Why do we dream?
Four times a night, you enter a so-called "paradoxical" sleep.
Suddenly your body is paralyzed, it disconnects from your brain. So you dream ...
Hey Steemers!
At the same time, our brain is activated, without waking up, and it invents stories. The only movement that can be observed is the eyes which seem to follow the inner images formed by dreams.
Dreaming is essential to mental balance, as much as drinking, breathing or eating are essential for the body. Most sleep is used to recover physical energy. Our muscles reload in slow sugar to face a new day.
During the time of dreams, it is up to our brain to recover energy. It works differently, so that it is totally available the next morning. He recharges his batteries.
Nightmares are unpleasant, but they also are useful. They allow our anxieties of the day to be digested, turned in all directions, and finally reduced to dust. And we can leave the next day a good foot, without this stress.
Because our logical mind is on "off", the night our intuition is at its peak! Dreams can find solutions to certain problems, answers to difficult questions. Details perceived by our intuition are organized and take on a meaning that did not appear to us in the day.
Dreams are also the recreation of our mind. We ask him so much during the day that he really needs to let himself imagine extraordinary or horrible things.
Weird Dreams:
It was him, without being him
I knew that he was my father, but he was tall, blond with a mustache. Just the opposite of my father. In dreams, the appearance and reality of being are often dissociated. As if we knew people from within.
I dreamed knowing it was a dream
I was flying in the air and I thought: it's amazing, I know how to fly. It's simple! So why, when I'm awake I think I do not know how to fly? I should have a little more confidence in my abilities! We are sometimes conscious of being dreaming. This is called a lucid dream.
Emotions dissociated from the context
My mother had just died, and everyone was very happy. I had just had my degree, and yet it was a horribly agonizing nightmare. Dreams reveal a facet of an event that has absolutely nothing logical.
Plus, don't forget that during sleep, areas of memory in our brain, are disabled and that is why we forget our dreams so quickly!
Thanks for Reading!
Agreed,But don't know why my mind always imagine horrible things.
Yepp, in dreams, I visualise myself More handsome because in reality, I am but people don't see reality.
Usually I fall from stairs and die. You are a little bit more optimistic in dreams.
haha maybe! You made me laugh :) !
Atleast my dream was useful somewhere.
Great Post @powercouple
I keep a pen and pad of paper next to my bed. I try and take as many notes pertaining to my nightly dreams. There's really something to it...
