Accidentally Promoting Steemit Bockchain in Ethiopia on Afro FM 105.3
Africa for decades, has been deemed by many experts as perpetually poised to take off as the next most wanted place to live on Earth, this is too perpetually debatable but if it is/was/were the case then nowhere in Africa is as Ethiopia. For none so much as Ethiopia is boasting a state subsidised light rail system coupled with autonomous economy of well educated go-getting young people and extremely low crime rates. It essentially has virtually everything in infrastructure it needs to get started in big crytpo business except for now... good wifi (4g) yet however crucial this is for now im not bothered...
I'd call it slo-fi or sometimes no-fi. But honestly seeing adverts like this, gives me hope , I'm truly not bothered.... !
On my travels I have found myself compelled to share about blockchain and find Steemit is perfect way for people here in Ethiopia as a way to introduce them to blockchain as an alternative to make friends and socialise without the evil F***book being the facilitating big daddy - did I tell them that they are able to earn and socialise globally yet locally on equal terms, you bet it did!..... I coin/call equaglocal friendship network -- :)
I bumped into a random guy in a people carrier cab as I was freestyling (I can rap too - but I don't care about that either- LOL) turns out he was only the main presenter on Ethiopias main / only full time English national radio show - I kid you not! "Kibromatic"
! I went on radio I spoke about blockchain and the importance of it, I spelled out steemit.com on radio, It was a great show.
If i had better wifi :P i'd share but the video will be up when i get back. He is in the process of getting the only local english radio station to have bitcoin show courtesy of steem power,
If you see a load of people from ethiopia joining steem - say thanks to I & I. So much stuff to say - This is @kidus on steem, we met first time through interest in bitcoin on facebook groups - We designed a hybrid cryptocurrency coin called abyssinnian coin to teach people about crypto and hes the man on the ground for me in Addis for all things crypto related
I've got so much more to say so little wifi but soon come the Africa Satellita :)
@Kidus is running a block chain boot camp on Wednesday In Addis Abeba, i sponsored him the flyers and hopefully he gets allot of people on steem earning in stead of yearning - all it takes is a little self invested earning of a £1.25p ticket for just a little learning.
So please guys if you like what I'm doing out here send love and power me up steemers so I can get some coffee in these wifi places to update you ... Gosh I need it!
I'll be uploading vids and loads more when i get back.(including a trip to shashamene ;) where I convince the leader of HIM to accept a $50 bitcoin donation to a local bitcoin wallet)...I love being part of this global relovution.
