Part 2: Practices To Help Improve The Quality of Our Lives.
As promised from my last update, here we go,
Faster is slower
There are those times when we're faced by a challenging situation we do our best to seek the easiest way to get away from the uncomfortable situation. I mean no one can stand the pain and we all do something to change the current situation.
My point being no matter how we try we'll always be faced by these situations, what we can do is create a habit of making conscious decisions while choosing a solution for any challenging situation and always remember that taking short cuts doesn't mean we reach the destination quicker, we actually take longer to get there than we would've if we applied the appropriate solution from the beginning.
Either...or...
There are times when we find that there are more than one ways of applying a solution.
Instead of taking one and disregarding the other, how about taking both and finding a way that they can complement each other in reaching the end goal, which is solving a problem, in a way that will ensure that we'll be prepared in the future in case it reoccurs.
Half an Elephant.
Taking full responsibility for our actions is better in dealing with the arising problems as a result of our actions, in that way we are able to cover the whole situation without creating a mess, which we would otherwise create if we choose to start making excuses for our shortcomings.
Dividing an elephant into two does not produce two little elephants, it creates a MESS.
So there we go, guys. You really are not required to apply all the practices in your day to day practices, choose one give it a try and get good at it, then proceed to the next which you may find applicable.
Trying to escape taking responsibility when we know we should only cause more pain in the future. But it can be avoided.
Even if it is already done, there is always a solution, only that it comes at a price, which we must be willing to pay for the betterment of tomorrow.
