GUESS WHAT PAPA BROUGHT HOME

in #life6 years ago

Sometimes, you've just got to!

I'd been seeing this sitting in someone's yard for a while now... right next to "FOR SALE" sign. Finally, I stopped to check it out. After a brief conversation and a little money exchanging hands, it was ours!

BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED... BECAUSE BATTERIES ARE NOT NEEDED!

This was one of my childhood memories from the playground. I'm not even sure what they are called, but I'm calling it my "Random Number Generator" for now. It randomly generates numbers one though three every time that a ball is thrown into it. So far, the @little-peppers are amazed!

Just look at those expecting faces! They are definitely interested in this new toy! Now we aren't exactly the type of parents to just buy a lot of toys and junk for our children, but something like this should last for years to come.

Plus, we have enough @little-peppers that they can actually enjoy something like this at home. We don't exactly have enough children for a football team (yet - who knows?) but we've got enough to play this game. As a bonus, when friends come over, there will even be more to play!

After passing by this game for a while, I'm glad that it was still available when I passed by yesterday. Also, I'm glad that @mama-pepper agreed that it was a good idea. With the addition of just a ball, we've got hours of fun on our hands for years to come! No batteries, no electricity, just good old fashioned fun!

Yeah, this one may actually be "old fashioned" and fading fast, but we can keep the memory alive here on our homestead. Plus, it's one more fun thing that I can do with my @little-peppers too! That's right, it's not just for kids!

As always, I'm @papa-pepper and here's the proof:

Until next time…

I remember playing with one of those!!!

We used to play a game where three of us (or four is it was a four hole bucket). Would each assign a number to ourselves (1,2,3). Then we'd each take turns throwing the ball into the basket. The first person who's assigned number came up 10 times would "win" that round.

At that age, we never believed in random. It was all skill. We could telepathically make the ball that someone else had thrown come out the hole of our choice ... imagination was the key.

According to wikipedia, it's called a Funnel Ball. I think we used to call it bucket ball.

According to @papa-pepper, it's called a "Random Number Generator," LOL!

I'm definitely not going to argue with that logic.

:-)

Congratulations sir...

Hahaha! The name matches the toy😂, I haven’t seen that before tho

Hi,

1st time seeing a toy like this.

It used to be popular in schoolyards where I grew up.

Wow
Congratulations sir
More winnings and more blessings
you're indeed blessed.

Its so sweet to see that young generation are playing with the same toy that their daddy used so many years ago :)

This is definitely fun. It is more about the fun derived from it. Little kids hardly get bothered of it is old fashion or not. Just give them fun and they are excited.

This is very kind and good Papa. New stuffs always excite little children and glad Mama agreed too.

About having a considerable number for football team, you need to run this by Mama...because this number is already good for lawn tennis. Hahaha

It looks good.
Bunchy place for everyone to run around.
I really do not know about the leveling but I understand
about settling.
Keep on steemin'

Cool toy! Way to parent! :-) (It could also make a great drinking game ;-)

I think old school is better so kids can see how much more things were fun back then . Also makes them different than the rest
