Appennino: The Mountain God

ja.jpg

Built in the late 1500s by Renaisannce Scultpor Giambologna as a symbol for the treacherous Appennine mountain range, Appenino squats at 35 feet tall in Villa Demidoff, on the outskirts of Florence, Italy.

Clutching a serpent in his left hand, the bearded Giant serves as a metaphor for the connection of man and nature. The serpent used to be connected to a hydraulic system that pumped in water through local sources and spoutted it out its mouth into the lilly padded grotto below but it has fallen to time and decay.

It is said that the villa where Appenino resides is a re-modelled park that used to serve as an estate for the mistress of an Italian duke. Behind the statue is a smaller decorated statue of a dragon and its own grotto that it watches it over. The statue has multiple rooms hidden inside of it and some even say that the head is hollow with a room that bellows smoke out of the giants nostril when the fireplace in the room is lit. This can't be confirmed, of course, because the park blocked off the passageways long ago but such a stylish touch to an already magnificent creation can be assumed here. Remeniscent of the Renaissance, Giambologna's imagination had no restrictions.

But wait...

The video above is from MudFossil University, a surprisingly successful YT channel about authenticating DNA found in....you guessed it...mud fossils. Now, Conspiracy Theorist naturally get a biased reputation of being crazy with most people being too lazy to give their claims time of day and would rather settle for believing what it is EASY to believe and dont care to attempt to validate the truth. Believe it or not, there is nothing wrong with the latter as the amount of information to validate is so enormous that even vast groups of people who can afford to spend all their waking hours trying to find the truth, will get nowhere. Even if, by some miracle, there exist a complete connection of dots by which one could connect to the truth, the odds of doing so are so miniscule that.....ITS BASICALLY POINTLESS. But, if your experience has been anything like mine, you will agree that practically everything they taught us as children was a lie or a severely skewed version of the truth in the form of propaganda. (Thats a whole other article in itself)

That being said, I'm a firm believer of Mathematics...Not God(s)...or Scientists...but Mathematics, the one thing that has always been true(hence the value of block chain). Any and everything can be represented by numbers and Chemistry is just an subset of that. So, in this video, Roger, the manager of the channel, claims that Appenino isn't actually a sculpture but the petrified remains of an ancient species of Titan. His reasons for this are very intriguing to me because they're simple and sweet. As he explains in the video, there are vibrant and permenant discolorations upon the scultpures left calf that seem completely synonymous with the color of dried up arterial and venous blood. Blood oxidizes to create rust like colors. There is even a break in the coloration that mirrors the space where bone would be.

Now if you dive any deeper into the related videos of the one I've linked, you're just gonna see videos of people flipping pictures of mountains 90 degrees and claiming them remnants of Giants because they resemble faces....This is retarded and humans are programmed from birth to recognize faces so one should be skeptical of making wild correlations because something looks like a face.

But this isn't that. These discolorations are permenant and aren't a film or a result of rain and weathering. If they were, the color would be far more consistent and prevalent on the back and top of the thighs. As a matter of fact, the face and parts of the beard should be protected from this discoloration if it were rain but they, besides the calf and other thigh, seem to be the only place that have it. Plus, if you maximize the small B&W postcard like picture above, you can clearly see that the calf is full and the discoloration isn't there at all. Yes, its a black and white photo but the darker hues would still be apparent. This suggest that as the sculptured decayed, the truth of its material was shown. And no, Giambologna didn't use different materials do build this as the ramifications of building something this precise with materials that have different textile strengths, corrosion rates, and etc. would be too much.

Of course, believing Greek Mythology and the story of Atlas is just as wild as believing in the Bible but I'm not saying A, nor B, nor C. I've honestly seen my fair share of things that I still can't explain with my very own eyes so all I'm saying is: hmmmmm

Let me know what you think below
