SMALLEST AND BIGGEST BIRDS IN THE WORLD.
Birds are what makes nature come alive. A few years I visited a city and to my amazement could not hear a single bird song in the place, although there are beautiful gardens.
It set my mind thinking of the smallest birds in the world and the biggest birds in the world.
The smallest bird is the bee hummingbirds with the males measuring only 52 mm in length. It is the lowest weight limit for any warmblooded animal.
Red-Cheeked cordon bleu.
This is an African finch with sky blue feathers they weigh only -35 ounces.
Verdin.
It is a tiny yellow tit only 4.5 inches long.

Lesser Goldfinch
It is the smallest true finch in the world..it only grows 3.5 inches in length, it is a minuscule bird and weighs hs 0.28 ounces

Goldcrest.
it is one of the smallest birds in Europe and measures about 3.3 inches and weighs 0.16 ounces.

Weebill
it has a tiny bill and as tiny a body, It grows to 2about 3 inches in length.
