RE: Revolving chair to hospital bed

in #life7 years ago

Hi akkha... one thing you might want to consider is strengthening the muscles that keep your spine in good alignment. At the end of the day without your muscles and ligaments, you are just a pile of bones on the floor! You can try gentle Yoga or Pilates style exercises (which I bet the hospital you are staying in can help you with), to stretch what is tight and strengthen what is weak or too long. BUT ALWAYS WITHOUT CAUSING TOO MUCH PAIN! A bit of discomfort is ok, but noticeable pain should be avoided. You can even do some easily while you sit on the computer. Have a search on YouTube for seated core exercises. It also helps to have a roll on your lower back which improves your posture, a bit like this one..

Hope you get more relief soon and remember... it probably took you years to get your spine in that state, don't expect for it to be fixed quickly. You must be patient. Take care
