I'm Committing to Riding My Bike to my Office EVERY day in June!

in #life7 years ago

I should start by saying that six years ago when my youngest left for college, part of my cure for empty nest was starting Spin. I was hooked immediately and from there my quest to own the perfect bike started. We have a bike shop in our little town and Rodney there made me an offer I couldn't refuse on this girl! She's a Raleigh Capri 2.0, light as a feather. I can lift her with my pinky! I had my heart set on pink accents, but the only model they had was blue...and I've come to love that! She was a previous year's model, almost half price! I throw my laptop and purse in a backpack and off I go! Wish me luck on continuing through June...I've not missed a day so far!

My photography assistant today is our Sophie...you will see and hear much more about this sweet girl in my blogs. She is the sweetest, we rescued her a few years ago and now say SHE rescued US. Just look at that face.

I'd really like to thank all who are supporting and encouraging me as I start this, blowing a kiss from sunny and HOT Iowa...

Awesome Job. I need to get out and do some more exercising. Keep it up.

It was a HOT, humid ride in this morning. I tried going fast just to get a little breeze!!!

That's awesome! Good for you! Unfortunately, I've got a half hour commute to work, otherwise I'd consider riding a bike as well.

I'm really enjoying it Jennie! My hair sucks every day though!! :)

I haven't brought my bike down from the hook it hangs on since we moved into our home. I used to ride it a LOT - four RAGBRAI's and many other local trips.
