Our deepest fear

in #life8 years ago

Our deepest fear, what is our deepest fear?
Fear is something we all feel and have to deal with in our day to day lives.
It affects our choices, our state of being and how we feel about ourselves.
It rushes through your body, blocking your ability to be yourself.
We can all imagine those moments when you want to act, but fear is telling you NO.
But what are we really afraid of?
This question is reminding me of the movie Coach Carter (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0393162/?ref_=nv_sr_1).
If you don't know about it, I recommend checking it out if you want to.
It is what I call an inspirational sports movie, so be prepared to be inspired haha :-p.
But there is this one scene in which a powerful statement was made.
Now take a moment to watch it and let it sink in. :-D

Wow!
This really got me thinking, because we often associate fear with fear of darkness.
But to be afraid of our own inner light as our deepest fear what's up with that.
Well when you look at it, to be in darkness is easy.
It is easy to give up and walk away, to hide yourself behind a mask so you do not get exposed to the world.
But to be vulnerable and stand naked as you are without any walls or masks to hide yourself behind, that is difficult.
We often rather see the worst in ourselves instead of the best.
So what can we learn from this beautiful quote?
Well I think it tries to show us who we really are and what we are capable of.
That we have the ability to liberate ourselves and the people around us by simply being who we are.
That hiding ourselves isn't doing anybody any good and there is a possibility for so much more.
So be yourself and shine my friend your time has come!
And let me know what you think about this beautiful quote and share some of your insights I'd love to hear it.

Peace, Love & Blessings to you all!
