We all have a little bit of evil inside of us. It has to be there. It's necessary.

     Without that little demon, we can never truly be good, honest, wholesome, hardworking people. For how would we know we are all those things, without having something to compare it to first?

Are you a good person because you do good things or are you a good person because you don't do bad things?

     Even an ax wielding serial killer can fill bowls with soup and hand them out to the needy with a smile. That makes her a good person?

     You weren't expecting it to be a female, were you? Neither was I.

That's How They Get You

     It's tempting, isn't it? That person boarding the bus who smacked you across the face with their backpack as they turned to sit next to you. Why not just say to hell with work or school. It can wait. Keep riding until it's their stop and then stick your leg out as they head to the door. That'll learn em!

     Of course, you wouldn't do that. You're a good, honest, wholesome, hardworking person who assumed, quite naturally, that this person obviously did not mean to smack you across the face. Let it go by simply assuming they are a good person.

     The days keep rolling on. It's clear now though. You were wrong. The sleazebag with the weaponized backpack rides your route on the daily and if they aren't smacking someone with their backpack, they're using the aisle seat for the ass and the window seat for the damn bag that you hate so damn much because you had to stand that day and the day before that and the day before that because of this asshole who likes to hog two seats and pretend nobody else is around!

Cue Entrance!

     Evil. Pure evil. Before the tooth even hits the ground, it's trending news. Bad move. Probably go to jail now. Damn.

     Everyone on the bus... cheers? What the hell is going on? This is so confusing.

     It must be Opposite Day.

     Maybe some folks just deserve what's coming to them. Some evil acts can easily be forgiven because there's something else on the other end keeping it all nicely balanced. Nothing can be good, nothing can be bad, it can only, be.

     That's what my memory looks like when I think about the time I attempted to drown my brother's favorite teddy bear in the toilet.

     It squirmed and squealed, sloshed about. Maybe those sounds I heard were just my childhood imagination blasting off into alternate inter-dimensional planes of existence, but I'll never forget them.

     Four flushes and he still wouldn't go down. All that commotion. Of course mom hears.

Vats de hell is going on in dair!

     So let's add insult to injury. If one sinister act isn't enough, lets lie to help make things better.
