Today I'll Hammer Some Keys and Finish Nothing

in #life5 years ago

This is the life I signed up for.
No victim card necessary. No self-loathing. No free tickets offered to the pity parade.
My head isn't in the game. Damn brain went on vacation and left me here with lions to tame.
The pressure to perform, driving me insane!
But I'll be fine because the other option is lame.

Wanted:

One capable mind.

I'm impressed.

There it is. Problem solved. All my issues melt away when I look around; enjoy the day. Who cares about me, when there's you to see.

Put my life in one hand and place yours in the other. Insert applause, for the sound of one hand clapping is just one man fapping to the chaotic lap dancing of a life only glancing at himself in the mirror as he reaches for that beer meant to distill all fear into one lonely tear.

Here's to you, kid. Cheers.

I still like what I see.

When it isn't me.

But I'll be alright. This isn't a fight that only recently started last night. Been kickin' its ass into shattered glass and a million reflections of a distant past I can't fucking stand! How long will this last! I got shit to do and life's moving too fast.

Where is my place when I race to embrace the thoughts I erase so they can't disgrace the future I'm forced to look in the face?

Down on the floor. Just close the door.

This life, I adore. Sometimes, a chore. Hardcore. But if I ignore the lore of a past sure to bore then I can almost guarantee I'll achieve one hell of a lot more. So sit back, hear me roar. I'm swinging that club. I'm yelling, "Fore!" I'm coming fast so you better keep score. It's on now, bitch, and this means war!

Welcome to my circus.

The one that made you think.

I said I'd finish Nothing, and I colored it pink.

Nothing

Now if you don't mind me,
I think I'll have a drink.

I'm perpetually confused XD

When you're writing stuff like this do you actually have to word wrangle or does it just happen? It feels very much like the latter either way, you're bloody good at it.

I've never seen a pink nothing before, just blue black ones, though I have heard they can come in any colour :)

When I'm glowing I let that shit be free flowing so it takes me wherever I'm going. Once I get there I'm knowing I'll be showing something worth throwing out into the world I feel I'm owing something good.

Are you secretly a famous rapper/songwriter/type? O_O

Wouldn't that be interesting.

This post needs to be turned into a rap and released.

Edit: It feels very Eminem.

That's far better than hearing, "This is crap," from a beast.

Better than a slap, at least.

Better than a poisoned feast.

Too much yeast?

Better call a priest.

The priest was deceased

My suit for the funeral is creased.

I second this.

That would be a tough one to face except for the beautiful colour. lol

Was just messing around with something I found myself surrounded in.

I have walked into rooms that colour. lol

I've walked into walls that color.

You need to add a beat to it.

It's been a long while since me and FL Studio first got to meet. Wouldn't even remember how. Might have to cheat!

That'd be neat as word on street will support this incredible feat and label it sweet.

I hope I can take the heat.

I find this pink nothing pleasing on the eye, like nothing has ever before. Legit nothing nonames. 🙂

Thanks for enjoying nothing today but I ran outta rhymes and have Nothing to say!

Nothing wrong with saying nothing because nothing said is sometimes preferable to something said when that something actually means nothing. 😊

In the land of something, saying nothing means anything is possible.

Ah, I see. If anything is possible then both something and nothing are possibilities...Or a lack of either which could indeed be perceived as nothing.

I'm not even confused.

🤔 Me either...Well, just a little.

In this drawing, I found three faces, two people on their knees, one crucified, two seated and a flying bird. ..
My brain begins to flow through the little finger...
:-))))

Isn't that something...

Thanks for taking a moment to have a close look.

...this is exactly what i need.
I like to find different images in everything :-)

It's called pareidolia. When you see things that aren't there, but yet they are there. I incorporate this common brain wiring effect we all possess into much of my work, intentionally. I've written about it and explained what's happening a quite a few times. If you take a close look at nearly all of my work, the image will often paint itself into something new. The second time you look, you might see something else.

I do wood carvings. When driftwood, root, branch fall into my hands, I deal with pareidolia. This helps to find new images in the tree. It has become a habit for me.
I am pareidolia :-)))

That's the best way to carve. I do it too!

by the way ... I don’t know how to draw ... but if I took up this business ... if I started to paint with paints of different colors ... Max Lusher’s interpretations for his test of color choices ... no no ... I didn’t say nothing to you

The multiple faces of nothing. Dr. Seuss would be proud and roar out loud in to the crowd. And probably have a drink too.

I heard the Suess impersonate a moose once after a few drinks and letting loose.

i like how you mix art and poetry. nothing is really something - would make a great halloween mask.

Calling it poetry makes me nervous. Poets are often following a template and I'm just free flowing. That's a hard crowd to impress and I don't want to step on their toes. I've made quite a few of faces and you're right, they would make great masks. I wonder if 3D printers are advanced enough to make that reality? Hmm...

i'm not a fan of poets who follow templates, so hopefully that makes you less nervous when i call your work poetry. it's very lyrical, what you write, and lyrics are a type of poetry. anyhow - not sure how you'd translate your face art into 3d-printable layouts, but i bet it's possible, and you'd have a pretty great mask collection if you could figure out how to do it.
