How to earn extra money

Today I'm going to tell you how you can earn extra money. If you are on maternity leave, or you just don’t have enough money follow these ways. Basically, all you need is PC, internet access and attitude.

Ghostwriting

If you don’t know what does it mean, don’t worry, you’re not the only one. Ghostwriting is simply writing different kind of reports, works, theses. The point is that person that buys this piece of work from you will be present it as their masterpiece. So you get paid not just for writing but also for your rights and anonymity.

Copywriting

This is similar as previous point but in this case everything you wrote is with your name. Nobody will present it as his work. To be a copywriter is common these days. You just need to know how to write interesting articles. Mostly you are paid for length of article. For example in Slovakia you can get 1 cent per word but it can be more higher if you’re good at it.

Selling stuff

This is easy and favorite way how to earn extra money. If you have something that you don’t need and you think that it can be useful for someone else, sell it. It’s good for you as seller, because you throw away things and you get some money for it and it is also good for buyer, because he will get this thing much more cheaper.

Some people are buying things from Asia, China mostly, and then they sell them with big margin but still cheaper than other people around. This is really good way to earn quite a lot of money. You can also start your own business with it.

DIY

Do it yourself is another way of earning some extra money. Do you know website etsy.com? You should. It is probably the biggest website, where you can present and sell your DIY things and everyone from the whole world can buy it. DIY things are better quality and more expensive, but costs aren’t so high so you will get paid for your work, which is great.

Financial services

If you have financial background, use it. You can provide financial advise in areas like accounting, taxes, investment, etc. Trust me, doing financial services is easier than you think. People are just scared because they have to work with numbers that present money. But the hardest thing is to find clients, the rest you can learn and in a while you will be confident in these things.

Blog

To have your own blog is nothing new, but to have successful blog which earns you money, that is something. But it’s not impossible. For example let me mention our ex-redactor Daniela Slavik and her blog Flung out of space.com. It’s gorgeous! And although she didn’t earn a lot of money she gained a lot of things for review so then she saved more money because she didn’t have to buy these things.

Social media and website management

If somebody has FB group or site and he wants his fan base to be bigger and bigger, he needs to take action and this is quite time consuming. So in that case group or site owner finds someone who will be administrator of social media site or group. As I said, it takes a lot of time, but it is work from home and could be well paid. In the same way you can also manage websites.

So as you can see there are so many ways how to earn some extra money and even more but it will be veeeeery long article if I should mention all of them. So I add one extra point where you can see other jobs that can help you to be more financially independent.

It is not necessary to work just with your laptop. You can try babysitting, photographing and selling your photos, do mystery shopping, take a dogs for a walk or do tutoring if you are good at something (language, math, music instrument, etc.)
