Steeming Kilos Steeming Kilos - A Weight Loss Journey. [Part 3]
Welcome to part 3 of my weight loss journey. This week has been a tough one! As mentioned in my previous post I have had family come in from interstate which always throws a spanner in the works. Going out more on top of full time work has not lent itself well to food prep.
Honestly, I have been too scared to jump back on the scales this week. I have been trying to make good choices in most circumstances, for example I am still not drinking a can of mother every day. I am still sticking to 0 sugar soft drinks (which aren't great either) and still drinking a lot of water.
Although I have been making those better decisions I have still had a serve of Karage Chicken from a local shop by work. The problem with the Karage Chicken is that it is too damn delicious! Like most bad foods hey? So to combat this I came home from work and made curried sausages and made 6 portions to take to work instead of buying this delicious, delicious meal. I tried to make the serving sizes quite small to ensure a relatively normal caloric intake, through the use of My Fitness Pal I have estimated that each serve be roughly 250 calories.
Last night I went out for dinner with family which I knew was going to be a challenge. On the way there I was thinking, "Do I want to have a salad while everyone else has something delicious?" Well, that thought turned into me ordering the chef's special of the night. The chef's special was an amazing plate of the most tender and delicious smoked ribs that I have ever had in my life. They meat that was glistening from a layer of sweet and sticky bbq sauce fell off the bone.
I am at a hard point now where I am struggling to find the motivation to say to myself, "Right, stop this crap and get back on the horse and do the right thing!" It is all too easy to blame the stress of the day and how busy I get as to why I cannot make a good choice. At the end of the day it is a failing on my part and I MUST do better!
I will check in next week with another update as to how I have been travelling. I will stand on those scales no matter what and I will share the movement whether positive or negative. I will conquer this, it will just take time.
