Packing up the decorations

Today I got all the Christmas and New Year decorations out. When the season starts there is so much of excitement of doing things, everything comes up fast. But when the season ends then suddenly there is a shift in the energy and I feel so lazy to do things. Setting up is excitement and then removing it is painful. Same it is for travelling when I have to pack and unpack the bags. Packing up is fun but when it comes to unpacking I find it very tedious.

These are not one time use and throw things so removing them also needs extra care, and I always mess up with the lights, the long wires gets entangled and setting that right is one hell of an activity. Finally everything has been removed today and packed up again in it's place until next year. It also feels like the house has become empty, as if some one was there and now gone. All that cheer and lights and sparkly moments are again back to routines.

The first half of the year is always dull, especially from Feb to July, Jan we still have some action in our house as my and hubby's birthday fall in this month but after that it all gets quiet, and from April to July is the dullest period because then even the weather changes and it's extreme heat period. All these good times make us realize how precious life is and that also nothing is constant in life. Just like these seasons and weathers in our life that keeps changing so do the good and the bad times of our life will keep changing and nothing will be permanent.
