A book written by Stephen Covey and was published in 1989. This discussed about how to be effective in reaching our goals in life by aligning ourselves to some principles of characters that has an impact in the world we’re living.
Habit #1 is BEING PROACTIVE
So what is Proactive? According to the dictionary, it is controlling a situation by making things happen or by preparing for possible future problems.
Proactive means not taking actions in to the situation that is already happening. Instead, planning your actions to the possible scenarios that might happen. This is being able to get ready before the problem or issue comes to our life.
Proactive people do not react or worry on the conditions which they have little or even without full control instead they are focusing their time and energy on things that they can easily control. Those people can manipulate their lives successfully. The problems, concerns, situations and opportunity is normal to fall or happen in our daily and our decisions how we gonna react on this will depend on how are we ready to face those things.
Let us remember that what happens in our life, it just didn’t just happened. Whether you agree or disagree, it is designed by you. It is a byproduct of some decisions that you’ve made based in the past. You choose to be sad, you choose to be happy… you choose to make your life easy or difficult. You choose the right decision or take the wrong one.
Whatever your life’s status now, that’s all because of what you have done.. so being prepared to what is going to happen in your life will make your life worth living…
