This is a salt container, which is placed on tables in hotels. Those who need salt while eating take it from these containers and sprinkle it onto their food. Almost every hotel provides these on each table because some people like to eat salt, while others do not. That is why they are kept on the tables—those who need it can take it, and those who don't can simply leave it.

When we entered a hotel to eat, we noticed these containers on the tables. I picked one up and saw that it was filled with salt. The container looked very beautiful, pure white, and had a nice size. At first glance, it was hard to tell what it was, but the craftsmanship was quite impressive. It was a high-quality item that the hotel had chosen to use. The food there was of good quality, and the cleanliness of the hotel was well-maintained. Overall, we had a great dining experience.
