A few tips:
-You should create a post that has a video of you holding a sign / piece of paper with "Steemit" on it, and the date you created the video. This is how the community verifies that you are a "real" person.
-When you create that post, use the tag "introduceyourself". This is where people will look for new members. (Only do one "introduceyourself" post.)
-Unless the post has something specifically to do with Steemit itself, the community discourages people from using the "steemit" tag.
-I would also recomend you use the tag "blog" for your type of posts
-You should join Steemit chat (in the right menu). Once you create an account and are logged in, go to this channel and introduce yourself: https://steemit.chat/channel/steemprentice There are a lot of people there who can help new members get introduced to the site.
I think your video blog is a really cool idea, and I think/hope it will do well here!
