The Truth About Tutankhamun. The discovery that changed everything I knew about the famous pharaoh

in #life7 years ago (edited)
  • Phantom Tutankhamun's armor analysis brought to light something completely unexpected.
Historians have so far believed that Tutankhamun, the famous pharaoh who died at the age of 19, was a fragile, sick and weak boy.

  • A recent analysis has revealed something else. Photos surprised unexpected details on the leather armor that belonged to the pharaoh.

  • The armor carries clear signs of wear, so it has been worn quite often in wars. The object was found in the tomb of Tutankhamun and shows us a completely different picture of the pharaoh: he was a warrior, not a vulnerable young man.

  • The discovery was made by researchers at Northampton University while filming a documentary that will be featured on Channel 5.

  • The pharaoh's armor is now at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. Only a small piece of it still exists, the rest has deteriorated over time.aaa.jpg

Interesting post. Don't remember seeing the armour but definitely remember the mask at the museum. Trip to Egypt was like going back in time.
