It caught our family off gaurd. I hadn't seen them in actual retail locations, but I do remember watching a PBS piece about how the dolls that resembled normal physiques were very noticable to the children and they instantly recognized them as "being different". I'd think with that kind of research corporations would see that there will be a tendency for the child to potentially avoid that line of dolls due to peer pressure.
