How to be happy
Hello everyone! Today I want to start a new series on Steemit of life-improving essays that are genuine and easy to understand. The first capsule of this big series is going to be about life itself.
In school, we spent years and years studying different concepts, subjects, etc. But, how long did we spend actually studying life? Not much in all honesty. A lot of the things we were taught were there to help us be better citizens in the capitalistic-oriented society we were all born into. Because of the nature of the education most of us received, a lot of people seems to have a hard time in this big adventure we call life.
So, what is life? If you were to take a moment off reading and actually ponder on that question for a moment, what would be the answer? Some might say life is an opportunity, some might say life is a healing journey, learning journey, a trial, some might even say it feels like a prison to them. But, when you take a bit of time to really appreciate life for what it really is, you realize that life is actually a GIFT. How much did you have to pay to be born? Ever seen a baby come into the world with cash in his hands to pay his entry ticket in life? Of course not! That is absurd! So life was free to begin with, and so it is the best gift we could ever received from God, the gift to BE! If you can manage to reduce your life to the simple guideline Just Be, everything will be alright. You will start to realize that all your worries, barriers, fears are all mind-created and self-imposed, because in reality life is so simple. Truly, life is the most amazing gift we could ever received, and it’s free!

I just found your blog @merry-pineapple after your comment on my post. I feel a kindred spirit already :)
To answer your question, to me life is adventure. Packaged as a gift, you don't know what's to be unveiled and with courage and strength you pace forward.
I hope we'll form bonds here
Thank you for the kind message! I'm pretty new on Steemit, but I'm definitely looking forward to get on this boat and sail my way to new horizons! Nice to meet you!
