🎎 NO RACISM - YES DIVERSITY 🎎
What Is Racism (Definition)?
Racism is the thinking that the characteristics and capabilities of people are related to their "race" and that some "ethnic groups" are better at the level than others, and thus treat some people differently from others because of this thinking.
In other words: Racism is that people look at others who are different from them as if they are less people at the level of them. Racism is similar to discrimination that distinguishes between people whether they are different in religion, social class, political opinion, etc.
Ethnic group: A human group with distinctive characteristics defined by common culture and identity, which binds its members to each other on a common basis, and is recognized by others as a distinct group with common cultural, linguistic and religious foundations, behavioral or biological characteristics. Assets, From their point of view which distinguish individuals in a particular geographical area.
How Racism And Discrimination Were Used:
Racism and discrimination are used as powerful weapons to encourage fear or hatred of others in times of conflict and war and during times of economic recession.
Racism is a very sensitive subject for some people. Some people say that support for racial discrimination and prejudice must be allowed to speak, and freedom of expression in general and in the media must be allowed freely.
Others argue that these racist views have serious and very serious consequences, Racism can be between individuals, groups, institutions, communities, and States in full.
Forms and Examples of Racism:
There are several forms of racism, such as the different way of dealing and the preference of some people for others because of ethnicity.
Or impose laws on a specific group of people because of their ethnic affiliation. Or to look less at people belonging to a particular race.
Racism can also have a more complex form, such as "hidden racism", which appears without feeling in people who say they are committed to the values of tolerance and equality, but without feeling, act in a racist manner towards some individuals or groups.
There is racism or discrimination against groups, whether religious, political, cultural, sports, illness, or a particular profession.
Finally, we must consult ourselves all and stop thinking in this way - racism is a disease of the mind, not the body.
Leave you with this video which may illustrate the view somewhat.
To celebrate diversity in the world we asked 67 people from all over the world to take a DNA test. It turns out that they have much more in common with other nationalities than they would ever have imagined. In this short film, you can join Ellaha on her surprising journey into who she really is.
Let’s Open Our World is an invitation to travel across boundaries, embrace our differences and open our world.
momondo believes that everybody should be able to travel the world, to meet other people, and experience other cultures and religions. Travel opens our minds: when we experience something different, we begin to see things differently.
