Motivation - Hard To get, easy to lose but you will RISE.

Motivation is something a lot of us lack and people who have mental health issues often don't have at all. How could you expect anyone suffering inside to have motivation as if they did they could probably beat it far quicker, I talk from experience. It zaps your motivation and takes away your belief that your ever leave that dark place.

It could be a a family tragedy or your being bullied at work or school, anything that brings down your inner strength to be positive and motivated. If you lack in motivation and your not mentally unwell, its important you find out why/what it could be before you go in a downwards spiral.

Mental health if commonly not looked after enough because it seems for a long time now its almost like because we can't see inside our mind, we forgot it was important. If you saw a cut on your leg you would notice it but something psychological seems to go unnoticed.

Although all can seem lost, motivation can be rebuilt, over time adjusting things that aren't working in your life that feel like a weight on your shoulders and if your dealing with a loss or trauma, having therapy or counselling can help move on from it but it does take time. Don't pressure yourself as that will quickly make you trip up, there is no rush to progress, you just need to look at every step forward as a little victory.

Now you will go backwards sometimes, like the saying two steps forward one step back but try not get beaten up about it as it feels worse than it is. We get carried away when we feel good again and then we stumble it feels like we are falling again but its just a little trip, it happens. As you rebuild your motivation, try not get scared if it dips as we are not robots, we don't always feel positive but you should look at what you have achieved so far.

If you stop putting too much pressure on yourself and like I say sort things that aren't working in your life whether its issues that are to do with mental health or not (if they are mental health issues, I have other blogs with advice if you'd like to read them), then gradually your motivation will return gradually, as the current state of your life often reflects on how you feel.

Work on it and over time you will rise and feel great again like you once remember, its not if, its when.
