Good niiight means: I love you very much,
but you're annoying me, please go away. (: <3

Living with others can be tough. Whether you are living with friends or family, I'm sure you don't have the same time schedule, so you may be home at different times of the day or go to sleep at different times of the night.
When you get home at 11pm (23.00) you may want to chill and relax and eat something and have company whilst doing so, however, your partner/friend/family member might have come home at say 8pm (20.00) and they are done with their day and find themselves in bed when you get home. This can be a difficult situation...
So when the other person tells you "Goodnight" and stresses the 'night', they do love you- but they just want to be left alone!
