Bavarian summer hike
Rotwand is a mountain in the Bavarian Alps which offers beautiful views over the lakes Schliersee and Spitzingsee. Usually it is very crowded, since there is a cable-car heading up to neighbor mountain Taubenstein.
In order to avoid the crowds we did something very simple, but effective: We just did the usual tour the other way round. And we started very early. First, we walked up Rotwand from Spitzingsee and then moved on to Taubenstein. Originally we had planned to take the more difficult Northern route from Rotwand to Taubenstein, but we did not find it and took the easier Southern route 😎 Even so, we were alone most of the time. At Taubenstein we had a refreshing Radler (Bavarian beer with lemonde) and finished our hike again at Spitzingsee.
Going to the mountains always makes me feel more energetic and connected to Nature. This was just a beautiful day 💚
